What does that shirt mean?
LG I'm sad. That was the last phone that still had a headphone jack and SD card. I have the Note 8 now, and I don't want to upgrade because manufactures keep taking things away.
LG V30 (V35 or whatever) is still the best phone iv ever had and has lasted to this day since it first came out
Lg will be just fine they are still killing it with Tvs and lost of other products lol i heard samsung had soemthing happen where they where short screens recently and they had to go to the competition LG and buy some of theres There which i think look better there OLED screens so there are some samsung tvs out there now with Lg screens haha I wonder if there advertised to have a OLED LG screen or atleast labeled as a OLED rather than there QLED
Think Lg was the first to put afinger print reader or a button or fingerprint reader / button on the back of a phone aswell coukl be wrong but i think they did it first
That’s why...marques stands out...pretty genuine....i feel.
LG will be missed, loved G2! But they stopped selling in EU few years ago!
I just hope someone buys the business and take to the deserved heights
If only LG Mobile had been watching your videos, they would still be in business.
I bought the G5 at launch and it had the worst GPS in any phone... Then had the LG V10/20 and the battery life was unbearable. The updates were lacking too. Very slow.
I loved the chocolate 2. By far the coolest phone of my high school days
I didn't know all that things about LG thank you for the information, it was so interesting!
Me who has an LG: 👁👄👁
currently have an S10 but my previous phone (and first/only LG phone) was the G6. other than the poor camera, i quite enjoyed it. specs wise it was on par with the S7. only annoyance was how long it took to get any major updates compared to the competition
Well I is a LG fan so this is a big lost for me in the phone world sorry to hear
I love my Knock knock, IR Blaster, dual screens, and all the cool stuff that LG did. I am SO sad that they are not expanding their phone market... I do NOT want an iPhone or a iPhone knock-off (Samsung). Every phone had a expandable MicroSD up to 2Tb's since the LG-G4. I hope they take like 5 years to re-evaluate & then come out with a KILLER phone in the future. I will throw my money at them.
I think HTC contributed a lot more but still they didn't survive
RIP. Watching this on my v40 thinQ
Because "tech influencers" like you earned less money by giving honest reviews.
@American Freedom World Peace Exactly 💯
Sooo true.. look at all his LG reviews.. he trashed LG and nit-pick over very small things, while never give same treatment to Apple/Samsung.. he does it bc he wants more views and clicks, somebody has to be the "loser" and is always LG
I think the G8 was the best phone with vein ID
I had the LG G3 and LG G5
I just want a phone as indestructible as a Nokia from the early 2000's.
You know LG gets a lot of bs for their phones being bad but they ALWYAS held a special spot in my heart. I remember owning them when I was just getting phones and I loved them just bc of it. I have an iPhone now and have had one since 2017 but it’s gonna be sad knowing they won’t be making more phones even though I wouldn’t be buying them.
I lovingly remember my g2 for the time it was great
How is LG Wing?
Loved LG. My LG G3 was awesome
LG's biggest issue with their phones: the battery ALWAYS sucked
you forgot to think. you missed the q...
this is sad i really like the V series!!!Even had the Viewty back in the days.
There is only one reason why the Idiot phone is a top seller.
People are fickle. I wrote a comment on your review of the LG Wing, about how LG have these cool ideas and then drop the support the following year, and I was harpooned for being a hater.
LG is that one inventor who creates all the genius stuff and experiments for fun and all the famous people borrow his genius ideas
Loved lg. Replaceable batteries.
Had the G3. Can confirm. Everybody bought one
so to sum it up: lg, you tried
Lmaoo LG and thinQ. It’s even on all the TVs, one which I own and I don’t even know what it means
I had an LG clamshell phone (my first ever cell phone), Chocolate, EnV 3, and then the EnV Touch, and that was the last LG phone I had. They were all great phones except for the Chocolate. It was cool but I had to get a lot of replacements for it
imagine if Apple invented that many stuff, some of them might be the thing now
My first phone was an LG this sucks 😞
I owned the LG G3 thanks to your reviews. I loved it and I still have it. It’s not in use because I have the iPhone 12 but if I wanted to I could turn it right now.
Loved my G3. Didn't love how LGs prices were going up despite failing. LG G8 for example retailed at over $800...You aren't Samsung.
Good to see the back of that ridiculous rollable thing, hugely complex for just a tiny bit more screen.
I liked the LG phones that I had. Unfortunately, the last one that I got had a faulty system board (as did thousands of others), which was the G3. LG was aware of this, but decided to not be proactive; no recall, no parts made available locally. So when my phone died, I had to ship it to Texas, and had to borrow a phone from a friend (yeah, they didn't even get me a loaner) for about 10 days. I will never buy another LG product because of this. So, no, I wouldn't say LG phones died a hero.
LG G8: "it's a finger print magnet, and the gesture hands feature doesn't work good.. therefore I give it a bad review!" Really?? That's all it takes? Y'all never criticize Google, Apple and Samsung on that same level
But but he said it was the master of none.
Nexus 4 was so good. 299 for such a perfect (at the time) phone, amazing. Also had the Optimus 2x and 4x, 2x was shitty but 4x was a great phone, loved it!
G2 was my first smart phone...
LG G3 had the best ever selfie camera. It was an amazing phone and swappable battery's. Dang that was the day.
You killed LG
LG mobile division (employees) should be watching this and learn!
Yes: remove the headphone jack and micro SD slot like Apple and Samsung! Watch and learn! That's how you win
i have a LG VELVET 5G
had my g5 til a month ago when i finally died after several years. you will be missed!, moved on to a pixel 3a.
I stopped getting LG Phones because it died on me twice, two different generations (G3/G5? don't remember exactly but definitely the G series)
I won´t miss them. Terrible support, batery life was pretty bad, their own components had many issues, take the G4 , how many had that boot loop issue. Honestly they dig their own grave
Get over it bro, the G4 had a known defect, LG fixed those phones for free up to a certain point. Samsung Note 7 battery explode and caught on fire, nobody ever remembers that. Apple slowed down everyone's iPhones. LG phones have never bootlooped again and they were giving 2 year warranties on their phones just to win back people's trust.
LG. Phone made my Life Good is now Long Gone.I'm also watching this video on LG60.Thank You LG.
I just broke my V30 of 4 years, and just ordered the Velvet 5G. The v30 is the first phone I'm kinda sad to see go, but am glad I am getting in on the last of the LG's.
I had an LG G3 before, its front plastic developed some cracks within a year + heat issues. Never again.
Unfair to judge them from their old phone. It's like using a Galaxy S1 or S2 and had problems and vow to never buying Samsung again. LG has gotten far better
i work at a phone retailer and i heard from the Lg Mobile rep that alot of them werent even told that they had lost their jobs, they logged onto social media and saw that lg was done making phones and then days later they were emailed a termination later, he even said he had heard talks about them closing down the mobile division for months but no one ever told him anything
4:35 The No Phone doesn't
I wonder if the CEO of LG owns an iPhone or a Samsung
Lgg4 loved that phone and the lg G5 even better
They should continue making phones and fire all the executives
I agree, they should make phones but sell on a much smaller scale.. and only sell 1 or 2 models which works in any country.. just focus on good features and sell at a very good price. No need for marketing, and don't need to sell inside stores, just sell online.
Tech reviewers like MKBHD trash LG so that somebody could be the "fall guy".. they criticize LG too much and review their phones unfairly, while with Apple and Samsung, they go easy on them and rarely ever mention their flaws. So in reality, I'd say it's partly mainstream tech reviewers who were too eager to get more views and clicks rather than actually do a full review (not just highlighting what they dislike, but they needed to talk about some of the things that make it better than the competition)
The biggest loser in this smartphone war isn't LG, the biggest loser is US, the consumers! LG was the one that kept the other guys on their toes.. they were first to put a wide angle camera on the LG G5.. this forced other phones to adopt it. Now that LG is out the game, companies like Samsung and Apple are gonna do whatever the F they want and there nothing we can do about it.. remove features every single year (no charging port on the next iPhone, that is scary to me.. Samsung removed the micro SD slot). Only if LG were around, Samsung would be morr hesitant to remove features because it would shift customers to LG phones which has these features.. now that LG is gone, Samsung is going to strip away more features, giving you less and charging you more. It's a corporate monopoly dictatorship basically, now that LG lost, we lose.
Naw, LG failed do to Apple great ability to trick consumers into a belief. Apple created a false perception which is *Only rich and wealthy can afford Apple. Having a iPhone is a status symbol which validates you amongst the elite.* People fell hard for it. I use both and the only GREAT thing about a iPhone is the app market (do to most apps being i0s) and the SYNC. Other than that ANDROID IS KING!!!!
As the Guns N' Roses lyrics ask...'where do we go, where do we go now?" Where do I, a 10 year LG phone loyalist, go now (not Samsung)?
I had the G3 and it lasted 4 years for me before I upgraded. It still works today! Great phone for its time.
Shitty marketing, poor customer service and they pulled this crap where they would end updates with zero notice.Android can completely defeat iOS if the individual phone manufacturers actually provided better marketing and long term updates and service.
G5 removeable battery was the last "smart" phone for the consumer ever made in that removing the battery kept you from being tracked. Now we don't seem to care.
Correction, it was the LG V20 which was the last phone. That's right, removing the battery ensured you cannot get tracked... Nowadays, phones have built in tracing systems to track people's movements..
I've always been so excited about whatever weird thing LG was going to put in a phone next. It was always their terrible track record of putting out security updates in a timely fashion that kept me from seriously considering them for any of my daily driver devices. Hopefully some nut job convinces a bunch of suits to take up the mantle of wild hardware decisions.
Mostly because their phones are terrible.
My favorite and last Android phone was a G2. It was a great phone.
in a perfect worlds all phones would have removable batteries and audio dac
Just gonna say the only LG phone that I owned was the v20 and honestly I thought that phone was kinda revolutionary
Same here, it just had soo much.. last phone with a removable battery.. they made the design look clean with a metal back but still removable.. quad DAC, IR blaster, 2nd screen
sony phones are going next
My current phone is a v35 thinq. Absolutely amazing phone when it came out and still holds up solid to this day. I'm sad to see this happen as I've never been a fan of Samsung. Had one of the earlier galaxy phones and it was trash. Guess my go to next phone is gonna be a Pixel, which is good because I love having great camera specs in a smart phone. Reason why I bought the v35 thinq. IPhones are too overpriced imo.
Xiaomi enters the chat room!
Personally, I owned 3 LG smartphones throughout my life and the only one of those devices that turned out no so good and fairly disappointing was the last one, a K10 2017. Still, it is a shame to see them leave the smartphone market, I really liked the UI of LG phones.
@American Freedom World Peace And who says I'm judging??? I only stated that the K10 2017 was the only phone from the LGs that I owned that didn't quite lived up to expectations.
LG K series was not the best LG phone, it was low end budget so I wouldn't judge LG on their cheap models
I got a v30. I love that thing. My most favorite android. Tho its age does show.
the LG Aristo was my 1st smart phone
The writing is on the wall at least from a profitability standpoint for all smartphones. There's just isn't a lot of innovation to force consumers to upgrade which means you'll see more deals (lower profit). Yearly we are getting a processor bump, maybe a higher resolution screen, a higher resolution camera and that's about it. Foldable phones are interesting, but only the MS Surface Phone uses its screen to a benefit, not just a tablet screen. LG is moving to greener pastures building 2 - 35GWh+ battery plants with General Motors. Continued guaranteed profit yearly will keep them going.
I was sorry to hear that. I think it had to do with advertising. If they would have ran more commercials showing the features compared to the competition. I think people would have bought more of them. Very sad? I hope they still give tech support for people who do own their phones.
i LOVED the G3. That phone was a beast for the time. It was almost impossible to break and kept up well. The battery on the other hand was another story
I have the wing I am typing this message on it now love it!
You forgot that LG V20 waa the first phone with Android nuggets
Android 7 Nougat
If LG was the first in many smartphone innovation, they should have used that in their marketing. What a waste of opportunity.
It is a pitty...I worked 20 years for this company which has really excellent engineers creating very innovative products. But the biggest pain point this company has is the marketing and the production planning. How often did they make some market launch campagns and then there was no product available. And they still insist on specs marketing. And if a product is not succesfull they drop it very soon.
Yeah you sound like you're defending yourself but shouldn't have to but I get it. LG phones will not be missed, there are a multitude of competitors to fill that void. They do make damn nice tv's.
What flagship had a headphone jack and micro SD slot? Samsung Galaxy S21 removed the headphone jack and micro SD slot.. you have to downgrade to a mid-range phone if you want those. And I'm talking about the US market.
Seriously mate. Lg v30, v40, v50 is all about the quad dac and the headphone output. These are easily the best sounding phones in the market.
LG was my favorite phone maker. My favorite was the G-Flex 2. I was waiting for the G-Flex 3 since about 2013... and now this. RIP LG phones.
LG phones was too expensive that common consumers can't afford. And you mention 765G on a thousand dollars LG phone at 10:35, I'm just laughing so hard because I'm also watching on a $300 120hz refresh rate Xiaomi smartphone with Snapdragon 765G.
I love my V20, really innovative and solid
I just purchased the Wing a few days ago. Price dropped to $599.00 (t-mobile) I have zero regrets. Will rock this phone into the 🌇
I had the LG 2 and v10...I'm glad I had phones that were iconic
YouTubers kept LG phones on life support.
I loved my V20. Still using it for home use. Went through 3 removable batteries. Always ended up with Samsungs after V20. Samsungs just feel better in the hand.
Samsung removed headphone jack and micro SD, so no longer a good multimedia player
RIP LG. Sad. Watching this on iPhone 7 Plus upgraded last week.
Using the Lg Stylo 4. I'm going to miss them, my first phone was an Lg. 😢🥀🕊️
Lg makes up 4.4% of the U.S. smart phone market, so this isn't a surprise. What is a surprise is that even though they only have 4.4% market share in the U.S., that is 3rd place after Apple at 59.97% and Samsung at 24.38% according to statcounter. Apple almost has a monopoly. When 85% of the smartphone market share in the U.S. is by only 2 companies, that's not good for innovation or the consumer in my opinion. It seems impossible for a startup phone company, especially one that tries to make its own app store, to happen.
Let's face it, lg wasn't really a competitor, their software sucked and their phones sucked. Android in general sucks, although I haven't tried the Pixel.
